| King George was better than the current State of Georgia
government!

Notice that a special background color was picked for this column. Green! This represents about the only thing that the
State government in Georgia is interested in, apparently money! Of course we would not to offend their politically correct
good buddies, so will include lies, cowardice and just plain ole corruption, so that the ACLU does not get upset with us.
The good men who sacrificed life and limb in the Revolutionary War to create this country would look upon this current State government in dismay and disgust. The Georgians who participated in the Constitutional Convention of 1787 would be up in arms that their ideas were being desecrated. Today, they would literally sit back and simply ask the question, “We risked our lives and fortunes for this? These idiots are worse than King George!” Its hard to even pick a place to begin when describing the current waste of taxpayer dollars that is called the 2002 Legislative Session. They obviously do not believe that they are elected to represent the people of Georgia. A lone Representative, Bobby Franklin, introduced a bill HR 976 that would have allowed the citizens of Georgia to settle the divisive issue of picking our State Flag by the ballot. The idea of actually letting the People Vote was treated like the plague. After all, what would their special interests, the big money boys who have apparently bought and paid for this group say? |
They obviously care more about that than the people they swore an oath represent. They would
not even discuss HR 976 in Committee, they would not even let HR 976 be voted on the floor of the Legislature.
Its amazing how when they are required to put a new tax or another new law on a ballot for a referendum, how quickly they line up to vote for it. But when it comes to putting an issue that the people would like to settle on the ballot, they pucker up for their special interests to which they are beholden. Jesse Jackson has more influence on the governor and Legislature than the people of Georgia. Of course this is one of the reasons that governor Roy “Judas” Barnes has already collected over $10,000,000.00 in reelection campaign funds. He figures that he can buy your vote with TV ads. If you are tired of this style of corrupt government start working now to replace these self serving politicians .
